Colorado Veterinary Medical Foundation Honors Allison

Allison received a Colorado Animal Hero award for Youth Advocacy from the Colorado Veterinary Medical Foundation in October. She was one of seven honorees (3 animals and 4 people) honored at a ceremony at the Pepsi Center. Allison gave dog biscuits to all of the attendees to thank the CVMF for this wonderful honor.
Colorado Health Foundation Chooses Stink Bug for a Year-end Gift

Staff of the Colorado Health Foundation choose three non-profits to receive financial gifts at the end of each calendar year. Lisa Harris, Director of Communications, visited the Stink Bug booth at a City Park Farmer's Market and recommended the project to the staff. Allison and her family met with the staff and told them more about how kids are matched with dogs at the Denver Women's Correctional Facility.
Kodiak Oil and Gas Employees Donate to Stink Bug

Employees of Kodiak Oil and Gas selected Stink Bug for their year-end gift, and collected $2870, as well as two heaping boxes of dog toys to give to Stink Bug dogs. Allison met with the staff at a lunch at the office and talked about how she bakes and sells dog biscuits. Kodiak staff even got Coco to come into the building even though dogs were not allowed! Gift of Dog Toys and Other Items

Stink Bug received an early visit from Santa one Friday when a woman named Kathy dropped off four boxes filled with dog collars, leashes, harnesses, and toys from a closing pet store. Allison and her sister Emily decided to make care packages with all of the loot for the 17 Stink Bug dogs and mailed them just before Christmas.
Young People Work Hard for Stink Bug

Two groups of kids participated in wildly successful fundraisers for Stink Bug in December. The Young Philanthropists Foundation organized a service project for kids and their families in which the kids took orders and then filled them in a bake day at the commercial kitchen. Girl Scout Troop 2872 from Stapleton also took orders for dog biscuits and came to the kitchen to bake. Together, these two groups of kids raised more than $2250 for the Stink Bug Project.
